Privacy Policy
How the United Youth Conference app handles your personal information.
01 Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the United Youth Conference event and its official mobile application (the "App," iOS) handle personal information. The App is provided for attendees to access schedules, announcements, Q&A, and registration-related information. The App is free and has no in-app purchases.
For privacy questions beyond this policy, contact the conference organizers using the channels described on our Support page or provided at the event.
02 Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Account and authentication: When you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive identifiers and profile information (such as name and email) processed through Firebase Authentication.
- Registration details: Name, email, organization, age, and optional phone number; payment status as tracked by organizers (the App does not process payments).
- Guardian information: If you are under 18, name and contact info for a parent or guardian to record consent.
- User-generated content: Questions and answers you submit in the in-app Q&A.
- Technical data: Data necessary to operate the service (e.g. security logs, diagnostics) as handled by our hosting and backend providers.
03 How we use your information
- To operate the App and authenticate you.
- To manage conference registration, check-in, and event communication.
- To display Q&A content to attendees and moderators.
- To respond to support requests and enforce our Rules.
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
04 User-generated content (Q&A)
The App includes Q&A features. Content may be visible to other signed-in attendees and authorized organizers. You can report inappropriate content from the App or via the Support page. Organizers may remove content that violates the Rules.
05 Children and teens
The App is intended for conference attendees. Users under 18 require guardian consent as part of registration. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe we have collected information improperly, contact us through Support.
06 Third-party services
We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions) to host backend services and data. Google's privacy policy and terms apply to their processing. Sign-in providers (Google, Apple) process authentication according to their respective policies.
Organizers may export or sync registration data to other tools (for example spreadsheets) for event operations; use is limited to running the conference.
07 Data retention
We retain data for as long as needed to run the event and fulfill the purposes above. Event-related data may be deleted after the conference ends. You may delete your own registration and App data at any time using Delete My Data in the App.
08 Your choices & deletion
To delete your data:
- Open the United Youth Conference app.
- Tap Account in the tab bar at the bottom (person icon).
- Tap Delete My Data and confirm.
This removes your registration and related data, signs you out, and cannot be undone. For other requests, use Support.
09 International users
Our services may be operated using infrastructure in the United States or other regions where our providers operate. By using the App, you understand your information may be processed in those locations.
10 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
